Consumer and Carer Participation in Mental Health

Consumer and Carer Participation in Mental Health is designed for people with lived experience of mental illness and recovery. The purpose of this two day workshop is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively act as representatives in a range of contexts, such as boards of management, advisory panels and community forums.

By the end of this workshop participants will know about:

  • representing people with mental illness and their carers
  • setting and keeping boundaries as a representative
  • reducing and addressing conflict that may arise in the role of representative
  • caring for one’s self when acting as a representative.

Every participant receives a workbook and information kit.
