On 15 October, as part of Mental Health Month, Sydney-siders whose lives are touched by mental illness took to the Sydney Harbour foreshore for the Wellness Walk: A Bridge Walk for Mental Health. The event raised awareness and much-needed funds for mental health services and advocacy in New South Wales.
One Door Mental Health was proud to host a great turnout of people taking on the 5km walk, from Government House across the Harbour Bridge and back again, and the 2km mini-walk around the Royal Botanic Gardens. The beautiful scenery acted as the perfect backdrop for people to come together, work on their physical health, and raise money for essential services. The event raised more than $20,000 for essential mental health services in NSW.
Special mentions go to our generous supporters Janssen, Lundbeck, Daniel’s Printing, BridgeClimb and the NSW Government.
