Parliamentary Luncheon 2017

Celebrating new beginnings with a luncheon

This year is the 30th anniversary of Schizophrenia Awareness Week. To celebrate One Door Mental Health, in collaboration with the Hon Scott Farlow MLC and Anna Watson MLA, is hosting the annual Parliamentary Luncheon.

This luncheon is a fantastic opportunity for you to come together with the Parliamentary Friends of Mental Illness to enjoy lunch and Parliament House, meet new people and hear from our guest speakers.

We are in a year of change and new challenges so this years theme, New Beginnings, is certainly fitting.

Our keynote speaker is David Astle, self-confessed word nerd. David writes crosswords for The Age and the Sydney Morning Herald. He has co-hosted the successful SBS program, Letters and Numbers. His mind is sharp, his wit sharper.

We will also be joined by Mick Reid. Mick has been in leadership roles within the health system for many years including NSW Health, QLD Health, NSW Department of Science and Medical Research and the office of the Federal Minister for Health  Most importantly Mick has lived experience of mental illness as a carer.
