How we can help you

Employment is valuable for everyone, not just people with lived experience. It provides an income, is part of a balanced life and enhances social interaction. Most people who have experienced mental illness see it as an important part of their recovery. It is also a key factor in keeping people connected to their community.

Our employment services are flexible, non-judgemental and personalised to suit each individual client and employer. We provide post-placement support for both the client and the employer on their journey together.

Worried about losing your job? We collaborate with you and your employer to resolve issues and offer support where needed.

Disability Employment Services (DES)

One Door provides Disability Employment Services (DES) to support people with a psychosocial disability into the open employment market. One Door supports people to become job ready, works with prospective employers and supports people in the workplace to sustain employment.

Personal Helpers and Mentors (PHaMs)

Personal Helpers and Mentors (PHaMs) provides person-centred recovery for people living with a mental illness. One Door works with each person to develop and work on goals as part of their Individual Recovery Plan. Our work has demonstrated the recovery outcomes improve.

One Door also provides Employment PHaMs, supporting people to develop the skills to move into work.

PHaMs services will progressively transition to NDIS. As an NDIS provider, One Door offers one:one support for people with an NDIS plan. The NDIS can be challenging to negotiate so either speak to your support worker or call us for more information.
