Welcome to One Door Moruya

One Door Carer Services
Looking after someone living with mental illness can certainly take its toll. One Door Carer Services provides information, education, advocacy, and support, through the Family and Carer Mental Health Program (FCMHP). One Door’s Carer Advocates based in the Moruya area can provide individual support services as well as education and training for carers and families of someone living with mental illness. Read more.

One Door NDIS Services
Like many other organisations, One Door Mental Health has been going through a time of change, which has called on the passion and resilience of our staff, consumers, carers and all their families. Thank you for being part of the One Door community during these difficult times.
We’ve been listening to our consumer and carer experiences and working out how to adapt to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), and the Commonwealth government’s radical reduction in funding.
Together with other organisations, we’ve raised our concerns with government, advocating for people living with mental illness, their families and carers.
Sadly, the Commonwealth government has not acted on our concerns, which means funding for the Personal Helpers and Mentors (PHaMs) program will end on the 30th June 2019, across Australia. The priority focus of all PHaMs programs is to support consumers to access the NDIS; we will keep doing this until our funding stops.
NDIS supports in Moruya, from 1st July 2019: regrettably, the frequent changes and inadequate NDIS pricing means that One Door NDIS supports will change.
One Door will not provide supports to participants who have NDIS plans with: Individual (1:1) support; Group activities in the community or in a centre; Plan management. This decision was not made lightly. We have met with our NDIS participants to discuss individual circumstances and the best way to transition to other service providers. We are committed to working with our NDIS participants during this change process to ensure that each participant makes a supported and informed decision to their preferred provider(s).
One Door will provide Coordination of Support. Our Coordinator of Support will offer participants independent, unbiased help to achieve their life goals in their NDIS plans. If a participant currently receives Coordination of Support from One Door, we will make no changes unless they ask us to. We look forward to being here with our participants into the future.
These changes are not easy, and they are painful for all of us. One Door has a long history of being a specialist mental health provider, working alongside you all. We thank you for your past and ongoing collaboration, and look forward to continuing this relationship with our NDIS Coordination of Support.
