One Door announces Kathi Boorman as new CEO.
One Door Mental Health is proud to announce the appointment of Kathi Boorman as our new Chief Executive Officer, effective February 2019.
Kathi comes with over 25 years experience working and leading government and non-government mental health services. For the past two years, she has worked as the Director of Community and Clinical Services for Parramatta Mission, developing and expanding clinical, psychosocial and homelessness services in New South Wales. Kathi comes to One Door Mental Health with an extensive experience in developing innovative services and enabling transformational change for organisations.
Through One Door Mental Health, people living with mental illness and their families can find an inclusive community, innovative services and advocacy support. Creating a world in which people with a mental illness are valued and treated as equals is at the heart of everything One Door does. This same vision and purpose has been at the core of Kathi’s direction. She has spent her entire career working alongside people with a lived experience of mental illness and their carers, and ensured that services are designed with the core purpose of community and recovery.
One Door Chair of the Board, Professor Anthony Harris, says One Door Mental Health has been on the continuous journey of change and transformation in line with the reforms of the community sector.
"We believe that Kathi has the experience and is ideally placed to continue to lead our organisation through this challenge and opportunity.
