Trans Mental Health Matters

Support Group Program

Are you transgender or questioning?

Are you experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, grief or social isolation?

If so then join our 10 session support program specifically designed for the transgender community.

In response to the evident need for mental health services for gender-diverse population, One Door Mental Health in collaboration with the Sexual Health Centre have developed a support program which aims to bring isolated members of trans gender community together in a supportive an professional facilitated environment.

The support groups are aimed at addressing and helping with the issues trans people face everyday. The first hour of the two hour session is spent on ‘checking in’ and facilitating peer-to-peer support, wherein the participants can share their experiences and offer support to each other.

The second hour of the session we discuss specific topics. the program is open to customisation, for example if most of the participants are in the early transition, we may spend more than one session talking about medical issues.
