West Street (Nowra)

A place for you in Nowra

The team at West Street aim to help members on their path towards recovery from mental illness. We achieve this by developing each person’s self-esteem through social networks and their participation in recreational activities. Our centre provides a secure and inclusive place for people feeling isolated.

Members and staff contribute to the day-to-day running of West Street, including assisting with lunch preparation, growing our produce, receiving guests and outreaching to people with lived experience in our community that may need support. We offer a range of activities such as social outings, tennis, art/creative activities, and local walks.

Our centre-based group activities focus on building social, recreational, vocational and psycho-educational skills in a safe and positive environment. We also offer support services and coordination of support for people with an NDIS package.

The West Street team are experienced at facilitating group program participation and supports for NDIS clients, so individuals can work towards their goals.
