The One Door team in Bankstown are experts in caring for carers. 

One Door Carer Services

Looking after someone living with mental illness can certainly take its toll. One Door Carer Services provides information, education, advocacy, and support, through the Family and Carer Mental Health Program (FCMHP). One Door’s Carer Advocates based in the Sydney area can provide individual support services as well as education and training for carers and families of someone living with mental illness. Read more.

NSW Family & Carer Mental Health Program (FCMHP)

One Door Mental Health is the service provider for the NSW Family & Carer Mental Health Program in partnership with five Local Health Districts (LHD). The five LHDs involved are Hunter New England, Murrumbidgee, Southern NSW, Sydney, and South Western Sydney. The FCMHP is funded by the NSW Ministry of Health. One Door employ Carer Advocates to deliver this program to those who support someone living with mental illness.  Read more.

Partners in Recovery (PIR) Bankstown

The One Door PIR team in Bankstown focus on assisting clients to transition to the NDIS.

NDIS activities

  • Assistance in coordinating or managing life stages, transitions

PIRSWS is an Australian Government initiative provided by One Door Mental Health. 

If you have a severe and persistent mental illness, a Partners in Recovery (PIR) Support Facilitator can help you identify the supports that you need. PIR ensures services and supports from multiple sectors work in a more collaborative, coordinated and integrated way. PIR staff may also be able to assist you in transitioning to the NDIS.

PIRSWS covers the local government areas of Bowral, Bankstown, Fairfield, Liverpool, Campbelltown, Camden, Wollondilly and Wingecarribee.
