One Door Carer Services

The One Door team in Campbelltown are experts in caring for carers.  Looking after someone living with mental illness can certainly take its toll. One Door Carer Services provides education, advocacy and support through the Family and Carer Mental Health Program and the mental health system.

One Door’s Carer Advocates based in Campbelltown provide individual support services and education and training for carers and families of someone with a mental illness.  If you need help caring for your loved one who lives with mental illness contact us. NSW Family & Carer Mental Health Program (FCMHP)

One Door Mental Health is the service provider for the NSW Family & Carer Mental Health Program in partnership with five Local Health Districts (LHD). The five LHDs involved are Hunter New England, Murrumbidgee, Southern NSW, South Western Sydney and Sydney. The FCMHP is funded by the NSW Ministry of Health. One Door employ Carer Advocates to deliver this program to those who support someone living with a mental illness.

One Door Carer Advocates give you practical support at what can be a very difficult time for your family. They will support you with information to cope, help in building a network of support people, assistance in navigating the mental health system and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). A loved one’s mental illness diagnosis can be a hard time for the family, One Door’s Carer Advocates are available to help you access the supports and services you need but may not know exist.

Employment Personal Helpers and Mentors (EPHaMs) 

EPHaMs is a program that helps people develop their employment skills, increase coping skills and reduce anxiety levels in the workplace. This program also offers assistance with social and daily living skills, community engagement and offers volunteering opportunities.

PHaMs services will progressively transition to NDIS. As an NDIS provider, One Door offers one:one support for people with an NDIS plan. The NDIS can be challenging to negotiate so either speak to your support worker or call us for more information.

On Fire - Young Carer

On Fire is a program to support people aged 8-17 whose lives are impacted by mental illness, particularly those who have family member/s with a mental illness. Through On Fire, young people have access to fun days, camps, peer support, education and support with NDIS services. more info ...

One Door Harmony House:

Harmony House is a centre-based service providing an environment where people can come to learn daily living skills, work on social and community engagement either individually or as a group. We run groups on a range of topics including:

  • Computer skills. Our computers are also available for use by all members and visitors to Harmony House.
  • Cooking skills
  • Mental health awareness
  • Gardening
  • Physical wellness including healthy eating and our tobacco-free course

The facilities and activities at Harmony House are all centred on helping people learn useful skills for living.   We have:

  • a fully-equipped cafe area where people can develop customer service and coffee-making skills.
  • a large variety of both board games and books available for those looking to participate in quieter pursuits in small groups or individually.
  • an art program
  • regular outings to various points of interest within Sydney and surrounding regions.
  • regular guest speakers to come and talk about a variety of topics 

Harmony House staff can also help support people in their transition to the NDIS.  All services and supports available at Harmony House can be billed under the NDIS.

Partners in Recovery South Western Sydney (PIRSWS)

PIRSWS is an Australian Government initiative provided by One Door Mental Health. 

If you have a severe and persistent mental illness, a Partners in Recovery (PIR) Support Facilitator will help you identify the supports that you need. PIRSWS ensures services and supports from multiple sectors work in a more collaborative, coordinated and integrated way.

PIRSWS covers the local government areas of Bankstown, Fairfield, Liverpool, Campbelltown, Camden, Wollondilly and Wingecarribee
