Psychology Services

Our Psychologists and Social Workers can assist you, if you are living with anxiety, depression, psychosis or other issues that are impacting on your mental health and wellbeing.

We take pride in being specialists in psychosis and other serious mental illnesses. We understand that the symptoms can be very distressing, and we can help you with the complex needs that can arise from living with a mental illness. We can assist with strategies to reduce the distress and help you on your path to recovery. The number of sessions you require will depend on your situation and goals.

Our team can also assist you deal with other life matters like relationship breakdowns, grief and loss, substance abuse and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

You can see your clinician in a one-on-one session or with a support person such as a family member, or partner. We use a recovery-oriented, strength-based approach.

Our psychology services are led by our Clinical Director, Jane Randall, and our practices are supported by our clinical governance framework and policies.

For GPs

We bulk bill our allied health services to individuals who are eligible through Medicare and are Centrelink concession holders.

To refer a patient use one of the following plans:

  • Better Access Mental Health Care Plan (for psychological services)
  • Chronic Disease Management Plan (for exercise physiology and dietitian)
  • A specific referral will also be required for individuals accessing the PSS, You in Mind or SMIPCS program, according to the eligibility criteria.

NDIS

As an NDIS provider, Health Care offers one:one support for people with an NDIS Plan. These supports are funded under the Improved Health and Wellbeing and Improved Relationships and Counselling categories. The NDIS can be challenging to negotiate so either speak to your support worker, or call us for more information.

Primary Integrated Care Supports (PICS)

The Primary Integrated Care Supports provides clinical mental health services to people who are experiencing severe mental illness and live, work or attend school in the Central and Eastern Sydney Primary Health Network area.

Psychological Support Services (PSS)

Health Care is a provider of Psychological Support Services for the Central Eastern Sydney Primary Health Network. PSS offers psychological services for people who have a mild to moderate mental llness, but focused on people who have not generally received this service before.

You in Mind

Health Care is a provider of the You in Mind program for the South West Primary Health Network, providing psychological services for people who have a diagnosed mild to moderate mental illness. The services are provided by experienced mental health professionals (maximum of 12 hours per calendar year). Generally, a GP referral is required.
